Through a field investigation of the dress behavior of many adult men and women in each season throughout the year, the typical dress collocation of Chinese adult men and women in each season throughout the year is obtained. Under laboratory conditions, a thermal manikin model is used to test the thermal resistance of ensembles under typical dress collocation in each season. The overall and local thermal resistance values of 34 sets of ensembles are obtained, and the local thermal resistance database of typical ensembles in each season throughout the year is established. On this basis, the relationship between the local thermal resistance and the overall thermal resistance of ensembles is analysed, and the prediction model of the local thermal resistance based on the overall thermal resistance of ensembles is obtained.
